Personality: He is a legend that leaves a dark stain across history. A massive Royal who is said to have eyes all over his body and is able to see everything through them. He is the oldest friend that legend says carries those who welcome the eternal rest to lands beyond. To those who fear him, he is every dark corner and unknown noise - always waiting, always watching. They gave him the name Xibalba, for the spirit kingdom to where the dead are left to be forgotten. No one knows just how old he is, or where he came from. They only know that he periodically chooses a rider to serve and to serve him in turn. These individuals are often average souls who have been touched by those from the other side - most commonly Necromancers or people who have been brought back from the brink of death.

Xibalba himself is a very calm Stryx. The eyelets that mark his feathers seem to follow everyone who draws near, and rarely does something escape his notice. He seems at the peak of his prime, but the careful and slightly ginger way he moves after a hard flight belies his possible age. He is one of the most courteous Stryx in the world towards people who show no fear of him, and is in fact sometimes friendly. Towards those who show fear around him though, he seems to have a fiendish delight in terrorising the poor souls.

Since coming to The Circus he has gained a small following of the establishments most troublesome Harpias - namely Sunjo, Pestilence, and Glory. He is the only Stryx that Pestilence will openly show affection to, and he is rarely seen without the sickly female if she can help it.
