Personality:  This incredibly reclusive stryx has never been seen before!  A flock of cara stryx were ravaging farmlands near his home. Several locals and travellers had come by to help round them all up.  This ruckus peaked Quasar's attention, bringing him closer to the deep forest's edge to watch the commotion of his fellow mates.  As he was watching trying his best to not be involved in any way.  Poking his head out of the trees to get a better look he was spotted by a traveller.  Quasar spotted the looker and quickly slunked back into the woods, hoping they didn't notice him. With Quasar's glowing plummage however it is rather difficult to not slot this glowing stryx amidst a dark forest.  

The traveller didn't move initially, stunned by this new stryx, he simply soudn't believe what he was seeing. He snapped out of it, and instead of calling attention to his fellow travellers for help. He simply dropped his ropes and slowly, but calmly, walked towards the glowing cara.  Quasar saw him approaching, he wasn't sure waht to do.  This creature before him did not feel like any harm would come about of him.  He crept back a bit, unsure if he should turn and run. Making sure he was well under cover of the forest's dark trees. The traveller slowly pulled something out of his back on his hip.  Carefully he unwrapped the contents while still slowly walking forwards.  Quasar's interest is rather high now.  As the contents were finally unwrapped the sweet fishy smell hit him, it smelled fantastic.  Quasar's interest got the best of him. He slowly walked towards this strange creature, pausing only a few feet infront now.  The traveller slowly held the smoked fish towards him, offering it to him. Quasar gently takes a piece and thouroughly enjoys it.  Chirping at the traveller he obtains some more.  The traveller gently placed his hand over Quasar's beak.  Quasar gave him a cold stare, deciding the next move.  After what felt like an eternity, Quasar blinked at the traveller and lowers his head for a skritch behind the ear.  

After the cara round-up, he goes home.  Which happens to be nearby, just on the other side of the vast forest.  Quasar follows him through the forest.  He often visit's with the traveller, demanding more skritches and smoked fish.  They form an inseperable bond of trust.  The traveller does ride him one day and they enjoy many adventures.  Quasar lives primarily in the forest still, he comes and goes when he pleases. Never bound by any rules.


He tends to be rather solitary. Quasar is quite good natured for a wild bird.  He doesn't need or care for the pressence of people or stryx, not that he dislike's them either.  He get's along with just about anyone and can be rather sweet.  He is rather quiet and doesn't anger easily. He is rather large for a cara.  He is quite quick, agile and graceful, which is always surprising for his size.  His tail feathers always streaming behind him, as if they were blowing in the wind.  Quasar's movements often appear dance-like, which really accentuate his flowy physique and tail feathers.  His feathers are incredibly soft, like velvet, which accentuate's his glowy feathers.

He almost always has a group of fireflies surrounding him.  This really helps contribute to his forest guardian theme and the Spirit Bird name.

He often get's a lot of stares by both people and stryx alike.  No one ever expects to see a glowy bird afterall!
He loves smoked fish and enjoys a good skritch.  He also loves music.
