Personality: Ringgit is a snooty, pretty, fancy useless bird. The prodigial son of Ark, he was reared and raised and cooed over for his entire young life, and the action spoiled him rotten right to the core. Ringgit spends all his time preening, presenting himself, the treasure of the Rookery which is not to be dirtied. This also means that he will not work, not on his own nor with other Stryx, will not fly often for the danger of getting himself dirty, and will not allow any rider near him. Tack is an affort to his very existence; no one has as of yet found anything that he will tolerate for more than a few minutes, and even then only under the watchful eyes of other, larger Stryx. About the only thing that ever gets this bird to move is the threat of spattering mud on his feathers; come heaven or high water, he wants nothing to do with anything.
Even his mother can rarely move him; as stubborn as she is, but lacking any of her drive, he is easily able to stubborn his way through her demands and threats, flat out ignoring almost everything she does. Once again, the only thing that can get him moving is the threat of dirt or, in this case, fights, as his mother quickly resorts to threatening to thrash him in the dirt and mud of the Rookery if he does not obey her. 
While his mother is plagued with suitors, it does not compare to Ringgit's flock of possible mates, none of whom he wants anything to do with. Shockingly similar to Ark, he refuses to fly for love or food, worrying only about the effort expended and possibility of returning exhausted and ruffled, and as such the Rookery fears he will never produce futher heirs. This does not deter them, however; it is entirely possible that Ringgit's children will be more palatable than the stuffy, proud bird whom will have nothing to do with hatchlings, either.
