Personality: Pair-bonded with Damaris, he has become Flock Dad to her Flock Mom. Although younger than his mate, he is larger, and it falls to him to break up any fights that start around the rookery. With opposite biorhythms, they end up spending the most time with each other during dawn and dusk, and trade off hatchling-sitting duties regularly. The pair are surrogates of a sort to any young stryx that enter the rookery, with discipline and affection in equal measure. Damascus does not tolerate threats to his charges or his mate, however, so woe betide anyone foolish enough to display aggressive behavior around either! He has been known to screech down any arguments that happen within close proximity and gives a particularly baleful stare to anyone careless enough to wake a sleeping hatchling.
