Askir holds himself of a high sense of respects to the tests of other creatures, though humans in particular offset him for their multiple attempts at holding down the King of the desert. Their insistent attempts on his taming have only resulted in wasted time, more than often the Harpia taking wing and bellowing roar to chase them from his territory with splayed talons.
On the contrary, Askir has surprisingly not deliberately harmed the species in any way and merely defends himself from being domesticated with bristled threats.
Some decide to take the warning and leave-- but for the others whom approach him as a challenge, they risk being swallowed by the dunes in their hasty pursuit, the terrain burying them to their own tombs before the stryx could even make the consideration.
Unique to him aside from his sanded plumage, a sandstorm always follows the carves of his wingbeats, giving him an aura of something surreal, intimidating, powerful, yet beautiful. His intensity flickers in his eyes like the embers of a fire and prides himself in his free roaming, unshakable spirit.
Talons laced in gold, as if the sands have stained him in a small royal touch, he has not failed a single strike-- often being the more experienced being when if comes to navigating the terrain. His entire body weighs as a muscled wall, incapable of being bested by the trials of opponents turned prey, and will do so whether he has the berth of an aerial arena or a storming dash across the sandscape.
Purely a creature best left to the desert wilds where he belongs-- whether regarded as a mythical god or perhaps a tired man's mirage, fading into the grains fo sand.
